my parents have been asking for videos, so here are a few.

Here is one of the endless dancing preformances that the girls do.

I rented a new barbie movie for alyssa and it was based off the three muskateers and she has been rolling around and practicing her fighting so she can be one too. Sometimes she uses the fly swatter as a sword to practice with.

It started out as a painting project with paint brushes and trying to stay clean, but not for long. Alyssa very carefully painted her hand blue, then washed it and painted it red. Megan just rubbed her hands in the paint, but had great fun doing it and stayed fairly clean.



They were curled up on the couch watching a show and I thought it was cute.

Swim class

I signed Alyssa up for a swim class and she loves it. they teach her how to put her face in the water and how to kick and simple things, but she loves to play in the water and hopefully she learns a little.



Megan and I walk around while alyssa is swimming and there is a really big fan that she loves to stand if front of.

Alyssa has decided that she always has to lay out her clothes before she puts them on. She lays them out very carefully on her bed and then has me come and inspect them before she puts them on, I'm not sure why she does this but it is kinda funny. Also whenever she changes her clothes (which is at least 3 times a day) Megan wants a change of clothes too. She brings me the clothes and I put her in them, but most of the time they are Alyssa's clothes and somtimes they are even my shirts.

She is always very proud of the clothes the outfits that she puts together.


Megan fell asleep holding on to her Valentine balloon and I thought it was cute. I bought the girls balloons and then we made a cake together and Alyssa kept insisting that it was Megan's birthday because there were balloons and a cake but I finally convinced her that it wasn't.

Alyssa now sings whatever we are doing. She just says things in a sing song voice telling about what she is holding or where we are going in the car.

Happy Birthday Alyssa!!

For Alyssa's birthday we just had some cake and presents. Grandma and Grandpa Bell and Anna came over as well as one of Alyss'a friends from church (Clair) and her mom. Alyssa loved being the center of attention and enjoyed helping me get the cake and decorations ready. Alyssa got some clothes, Candy Land, a strawberry shortcake movie, fairy dress up wings, and a strawberry shorcake doll.

Megan enjoyed Alyssa's birthday cake more than her own.

This cake was really easy to do, it was just a circle cake cut into a peace sign and then rotate the top pieces and spread out the bottom.


While we were waiting for everyone to arrive, Alyssa and Megan started to play with the balloons and they had a great time.

Snow

Portland doesn't get that much snow, but it did snow a few inches so we decided to take advantage (it was pretty much melted by the end of the day). Megan didn't really like being bundled up and it didn't help that Alyssa kept throwing snow balls at her.


Alyssa just threw a snowball at me, she thought she was very clever.

Christmas pictures

So I wanted to take a really nice photo of the kids for Chirstmas cards but, as usual they were difficult, they wouldn't wear their santa hats and one or both of them were cring or looking away whenever I took the picture. So I gave up with the photo shoot and tried again later and had a somewhat success (still no santa hats). It is the top picture.
