Alyssa Kindergarten graduation

At the graduation they sang a few songs and you could hear Alyssa over everyone during some parts, she also danced during the non singing parts, she defiantly doesn't have my personality!
Dumb guy moved right in front of me as Alyssa was coming down to get her diploma, seriously if it isn't your kid then move out of the way.

She started the year at a different school but ended up with Ms Eagon, she was such a great teacher and I'm so happy that we ended the year on a happy note.

Megan turns 4

We invited a lot of people, but only a few showed up for the party. It was better for the adults because it wasn't as crazy but Megan was a little disappointed, but after I explained that she could get more candy from the pinata if there weren't as many kids, she got over it quick.
I'm not an expert party planner yet so it was pretty much the same as Alyssa's party. There was a few rounds of musical chairs.

It was a Strawberry shortcake party so we played pin the strawberry on the vine.

Of course there was cake. Pink cupcakes with pink frosting on  a pink tray, what more could a girl want!

We tried to make our own pinata to look like a strawberry but after waiting three days to let it dry and it was still wet, we ran to the store to buy one instead. (I think it didn't dry because it rained for those three days off and on and there was just to much moisture in the air)

Later that night grandma and grandpa bell came for a visit and the girls had fun playing getting lots of attention from them. Can't believe my baby is four, she starts preschool next year and can not wait.

Sunny Days

Last weekend we had beautiful weather, it was finally not raining for two whole days! We spend most of it outside, Megan loves to sing nonsense and here she is doing her 'tricks'
Of course we had to have a picnic with popsicles! Alyssa has on her new glasses, I will try to get a better picture with the glasses later.

Alyssa doing her tricks, she also can ride for a few seconds with only one hand.

The three musketeers! This is their friend Kandice in the front, they play together almost everyday.
I like this picture of Megan because you can see Kandi reflection in her glasses

Easter

Easter started Saturday night for us, we made Rice Krispie treat nests and then the girls left them by their beds and the Easter Bunny filled them with candy during the night. The girls were a little too young to make the nests but they had fun playing with the treats. Then I forgot to take pictures of the final products and we ate the evidence.
Licking the spoon was much better than making the nests
The Boys and Girls Club by Alyssa's school had an Easter party that we went to Sunday morning. They separated the kids into age groups which took a little longer but made the hunts much nicer. They also had a free breakfast and then they invited us to their Easter service, but we went to our ward instead.

Here is Alyssa sitting very lady like.

Candy please?
Bouncy houses are always fun.
After church we hid eggs in our backyard, they were empty eggs but the girls didn't care, we took turns being the Easter Bunny then their friends came over and they played outside the rest of the day. It was beautiful weather, finally, so we had a great time outside and Caleb even barbecued.
Taking pictures of easter egg hunts is difficult because they always turn their backs to me when they pick up the eggs

After dinner we dyed some eggs, I tried a few different techniques I read about online but they were more difficult and messy than I thought and not worth the effort.

recent pics

Last weekend Caleb's battalion had an Easter party it was rainy and cold but they had free food, face paint, and an egg hunt so it turned out pretty fun. They even had a bouncy house but it turned into more of a swimming pool so no one used it. Alyssa got a bunny face, here she is pretending to be a bunny.Megan got a purple flower.
The girls had a sleep over the other night and they were dressed up for about 90% of the time. Caleb missed all of the fun because he had to stay up all night to protect the barracks in case of attack. (I think it is really dumb but he only has to do it every few months)

We also got an Easter package from grandma and grandpa Hamblin which is always funAlyssa participated in a soccer camp during spring break, she is excited about soccer and I can't really figure out why but I'm glad she likes to try new things.

Enjoying a pizza party at the end of the camp.

I signed Megan up for a dance class that starts in a few weeks but she is excited about soccer while Alyssa did it.

Cousin Visit

My Sister-in-Law Sarah and her four kids came up to spend a few day with us. We also went to Portland and went to the Saturday's Market and saw Hunger Games together (which was awesome) The cousins had a great time playing together and the adults had fun relaxing together (and staying up till midnight playing a hilarious game of dominoes). I always mean to take more pictures than actually end up on the camera, but here are a few that I took at the park.
Cheese ball Julia
Cutie pie Jenna, Alyssa loved to sit in front of her and make her laugh
Miles
Megan and Noah (Dora and Diego)
Three pirates

Alyssa wasn't feeling great for part of the weekend, but she refused to admit it. Even when she fell asleep on the couch and Caleb picked her up to take her to her room she mumbled, "I'm not sick..."
