Portland pictures
I know this picture looks boring, but this plant grew in a little bit of dirt that got stuck in the crack in the trunk of our car. This is an excelent example of primary sucession! (I knew my geography would come in handy one day)
This is a picture from our balcony, it is not the rocky mountains, but it beats just our neighbors yard.
It is sort of strange living in a big city, this is the 6 lane highway that we have to cross to get to the park.
I sometimes give Megan a cracker to suck on while I prepare dinner and I guess it was just too much work to eat it because she feel asleep when she was done.

Fun Day
We went to the childrens museum in Portland and it was really fun. It was for kids under 10 so Alyssa fit in just fine. Caleb actually had a day off too so he was able to come.

Park Pics
Caleb's brother Scott and his wife Sarah came up for a visit, we haven't seen them since the begining of last year so it was fun to catch up. They have a little boy named Noah and he was born exactly two weeks before Megan so they are really close in age, hopefully they will be friends when they get older. Here is a picture of them in the bathtub-Noah is the one rockstar sucking his fingers.

Scott and Sarah also have a five year old daughter named Julia, so here is Julia, Anna and Alyssa on the tire swings. Alyssa loved having someone her own size to run around with, of course they played dress up when we got back to grandma's.

Cute Pictures
We found the library the other day, which was nice and the weather has been really good the past few days so we have been able to go outside more. Also we have finally moved into our two bedroom so we can unpack our boxes! I am very excited to finally feel settled in. Also, my old laptop died in Septemberand I hadn't backed up any ofmy pictures and it had all my baby pictures of Alyssam, so my brother-in-law Damon finally came to the rescue and saved all of my pictures! I was really excited.
But here are some pictures of us playing in the house. I got Alyssa a barbie for christmas and Jim and Charly got her a dress which came with a matching barbie dress, so here is a picture of Alyssa and barbie in the same outfit!
I watch Anna for a few hours after school while her parents are busy with Liberty Tax and she dressed up Megan in fairy wings, necklace and a crown.

Alyssa is a big helper now, she likes to feed Megan her bottle whenever I will let her.

Megan still wont sit up on her bum, but she has started to go up on her knees in the middle of the room, I think it is cute. It was also a big day for Megan because she cut her first tooth!

Portland
We are finally here and starting to get set up. My mom and I drove out together and then she had to fly back the next day but it was really nice to have someone to talk to and help with the kids. I've started to learn the streets a little bit and have ventured out on my own some, but I'm still pretty lost. We went to a movie on Saturday for my birthday and also got a great sandwich from this really nice store. We saw 'City of Ember' which wasn't great but not bad either but the best part was we found a dollar theater (actually $2.50 but still cheap). The kids are a little young to really know what is going on but Alyssa has had fun seeing new parks and lots of people have dogs so we have to stop and pet them along the way. Caleb and his parents have been marketing like crazy getting ready for a great tax season I feel bad for Caleb because he is not home very much and if he is home then he is sleeping because he is working so hard. Life is starting to settle down, we are still in a one bedroom waiting for the people to move out of the two bedroom, we have seen two moving vans throughout the week, but they just keep bringing out more stuff so hopefully we will be moving in soon so we can actually unpack our stuff.

CHRISTMAS!!
We had a very fun Christmas! We spent Christmas eve with my mom's family and then when we were trying to put Alyssa to bed, she decided that she wanted to sleep in the living room so she grabbed her blanket and pillow and layed down in the living room. We just left her there fully expecting her to come into bed with us eventually but she stayed out in the living room.
She did not wake up on her own because she really didn't know what was going on, but we set out presents and woke her up around 8:30 and started opening gifts. Alyssa was more than happy to open the gifts for Megan.
More presents!
Alyssa got many gifts, but the favorite was a princess dress and accesory kit from Jimmy and Charly she put it on the moment she opened it and wore it the rest of the day and mostly for the rest of the week. I did make her take it off to go to the grocery store.
You can't tell in the picture, but the nose lights up and Alyssa thought it was very funny.

Videos and Lizards
My little brother has a lizard and Alyssa loves to watch it and she finally built up the nerve to touch it.
Alyssa is just starting to learn her ABC's and I think that it is cute
Megan jabbers all the time, she does it more when the camera is not on her.
